You can find LTC Classes with our our online program. You can take the classroom portion online with any device at your own pace. The format is simple and easy to use. You can use your computer, phone, tablet, etc… to take the class. Once you have completed the classroom portion of the class, we can connect you with local instructors in your area to finish the shooting portion of the license.

The Shooting Portion

While you can do the classroom portion online, you have to do the shooting portion with an instructor. Our instructor locator will connect you with an instructor to finish the shooting portion at a shooting range near you. Your instructor will guide your through the proficiency, score your target, and help you finish things up for your DPS application.

Benefits of LTC Classes

There are places you can carry your firearm only if you have a valid Texas LTC. This is just one reason you still want your LTC, even with HB 1927 passing. Certain locations can restrict you without your LTC. This includes:

• On school premises, such as locked in your car or on your person while you’re driving down a side street within 1,000 feet of the school. Without an LTC, you cannot have your firearm within 1,000 feet of a public, parochial, or private school. Even with an LTC, you cannot carry inside the school without authorization from the school.
• On the Lower Colorado River Authority property in Central Texas.
• In a restaurant, with a restaurant being defined by law as obtaining 50% or less of its revenue from alcoholic beverage sales. Restaurant signs do not have a red 51% on them, and if they include the word “unlicensed” in reference to who can’t carry there, they’re letting you know Texas LTC holders can still carry on the premises. LTC holders are licensed.
